Querus Abuttu
I'm not one to talk much about myself, tell you about what I had for breakfast, let you know my whole resume, etc. I will, however, talk about writing. That's fun!

And, I'm probably a reader cliche when I say Stephen King is my fave writer, but it's true. I'm also an avid reader of a ton of other fiction and non-fiction. I love writing tales that people enjoy, but selfishly I write stories that I enjoy writing first. Hopefully, you'll pick up or listen to a tale of mine and enjoy it, too.

In my experience, the stories authors create use characters based on pieces of people we know, even ourselves. Or they are based on the idea of people we want to meet most or fear most.
The characters that develop in my writing, for me, come from a cauldron of deep reflection--combined with the crucible of introspection and truth. It's darn painful and hot during the process, and there's nowhere to go when that character gets created. The character might be complex and require a scuba trip to a ship 300 ft deep off the coast of North Carolina. They might be shallow as a Richmond sidewalk puddle. But each one takes time to craft.
Regardless of where they came from, I hope you find some of them interesting. I hope that you let stories, and the characters, take your imagination to places when you need to travel without getting on a plane.
Keep reading, my friends, and enjoying life. Keep loving every minute that you can!
